PET REGISTRATION

PET REGISTRATION

Did you know dogs and cats over three months of age are required to be registered with the City? You and your pet’s safety is of utmost importance to us. Help us by ensuring our database is kept current with owner information and vaccination records.

The annual cost is $10 per animal. The biggest benefit of registering a pet with the City of Corinth is the increased chance of pet owners being reunited with their dog or cat, should it become lost. It is also highly recommended that you microchip your pet so our Animal Control officers can do their best to get your furry friend back to you should they decide to take themselves for a walk .

Applying for the license also serves as a reminder to renew a pet's annual rabies vaccination, which could save its life. Anti-rabies vaccination documentation issued by a registered veterinarian duly licensed to practice by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners must be presented at the time of registration.

If you live in Corinth and your animal is missing, you are encouraged to call the Lake Dallas Animal Shelter directly to determine if your animal has been found and impounded. The telephone number at the Lake Dallas Shelter is 940-497-7090. You can also find them online at http://www.lakedallas.com/158/Registration-Pet-Information
