2023 WATER QUALITY

CORINTH, TX, July 16, 2024 - The City of Corinth has released its annual Water Quality Report, detailing the safety and quality of the City's drinking water. This report provides important information about the sources of our water, the contaminants that have been tested, and the measures taken to ensure water safety for all residents.

Key Highlights of the 2023 Water Quality Report:

  1. Sources of Water: The primary sources of our drinking water is from the Upper Trinity Regional Water District, which have been carefully monitored throughout the year.
  2. Testing and Compliance: The City's water supply has been tested for over 20 different contaminants. All results were within the safety limits set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other regulatory bodies. The water meets or exceeds the standards for:
    • Lead and Copper
    • Bacteria
    • Pesticides and Herbicides
    • Organic and Inorganic Chemicals
  3. Notable Findings: This year's testing revealed that all regulated contaminants were present in amounts well below the maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) set by the EPA.
  4. Health and Safety Measures: The City has continued to enhance its water treatment processes to improve the removal of potential contaminants. New technologies and stricter monitoring have been implemented to ensure higher water quality standards.
  5. Public Participation and Awareness: The report encourages residents to participate in public meetings about water quality issues and to stay informed about the City's efforts to provide clean, safe drinking water. Educational programs and resources are available to help the public understand water quality standards and practices.

“We are proud to report that our City’s water supply continues to be among the safest and cleanest in the region. Our ongoing commitment to water quality ensures that all residents have access to reliable and safe drinking water,” said Glenn Barker, Director of Public Works.
