CORINTH POWER SWITCH- WINTER SESSION
Corinth, TX, December 17, 2019 - The City of Corinth, in partnership with iChoosr LLC, an energy aggregator who works with deregulated towns and cities throughout Texas, are working together to help their residents save money on their energy bills with the Corinth Power Switch program.
Texans have a choice in energy providers, however most haven’t made a change in the past three years and are overpaying for their electricity. iChoosr organizes group energy switching programs that give residents an opportunity to join together and get a lower rate on their electricity by asking energy providers to bid on the group’s business. There is no cost to the city to offer this service, nor does the city receive any financial benefit.
Those who participated in the previous round of the power switch for Corinth saved an average of $350 a year on their bills. The more people who take part, the greater the chances are of obtaining a competitive energy rate. There’s no fee to participate or obligation to switch. In the summer auction, 5073 households participated in Corinth.

“We were thrilled with the results of the previous auction for our residents, and looking forward to this second opportunity for our community to lower their electric bills,” stated City Manager Bob Hart.
iChoosr has been in business over 10 years and has organized programs in more than 200 towns and cities worldwide, helping over 1.5 million households save money on their monthly electric bills.
Please note: This program is only available to residential customers. Also, households served by electric cooperatives and municipally-owned utilities are unable to participate; however, any household in a deregulated service area is invited to participate – you are not required to be a Corinth resident.
