CORINTH, TX, April 10, 2025 – Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide nonprofit dedicated to environmental sustainability and community improvement, has recognized Keep Corinth Beautiful as a Gold Star Affiliate—its highest honor for community affiliates.

Gold Star status is awarded to affiliates that demonstrate exceptional commitment to keeping their communities clean, green, and beautiful through education, volunteer engagement, and impactful programs.

"Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates are the heart of our mission, and we are proud to recognize those that go above and beyond," said Suzanne Kho, Executive Director of Keep Texas Beautiful. "Our Gold Star Affiliates lead by example—recruiting and managing volunteers, hosting cleanup and beautification projects, and inspiring positive change in their communities."

In 2024, KTB affiliates mobilized over 60,000 volunteers to collect 1 million pounds of waste statewide. Keep Corinth Beautiful contributed through initiatives like Stream Cleans, KTB Fall Sweep, and youth education programs, while also completing over 12 hours of approved training to enhance community outreach. Keep Corinth Beautiful also implemented the Blue/Green Infrastructure project at Community Park to restore the Eastern Cross Timbers Prairie, launched a new volunteer database to promote events and track participation, and secured grants from NCTCOG and the Native Plant Society of Texas. Volunteer contributions totaled approximately $19,156, showcasing the community’s commitment to a cleaner, greener Corinth.

"This recognition reflects the dedication of our volunteers and the City’s commitment to keeping Corinth a clean and vibrant place to live," said City Manager Scott Campbell. "We’re proud of the work Keep Corinth Beautiful has done and look forward to building on this success."
