CORINTH JOINS NATIONAL WATER CONSERVATION CHALLENGE
CORINTH, TX, April 1, 2025 – The Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation is back, and Corinth is excited to take part once again! Water conservation remains a top priority for the City as drought conditions and rising costs continue to impact communities across the country.
“Water is one of our most valuable resources, and it’s up to all of us to use it wisely. The Mayor’s Challenge is a great opportunity for our community to come together and commit to simple, everyday actions that make a big impact," said Mayor Bill Heidemann. "I encourage all Corinth residents to take the pledge and be part of this important effort to protect our water for future generations."
Each year, residents from thousands of cities across all 50 states pledge to reduce their water use, cut down on waste, and prevent pollution from reaching local waterways. In past challenges, participants have pledged to reduce their annual freshwater consumption by over 1 billion gallons, divert millions of pounds of waste from landfills, and keep hazardous pollutants out of watersheds.
By taking part in the Mayor’s Challenge, residents can help promote long-term water conservation efforts while also having the chance to win over $50,000 in eco-friendly prizes. Rewards include $3,000 toward home utility payments, water-saving fixtures, and other sustainable products.
The Mayor’s Challenge is sponsored by the Wyland Foundation. Residents can take the pledge at mywaterpledge.com.
