SERVICE UPDATE FROM COMMUNITY WASTE DISPOSAL

cwd

CORINTH, TX, June 5, 2024 -  On June 1, Community Waste Disposal (CWD) began collection efforts to assist residents with removal of branches and debris from recent storms. Collection services began for those residents whose trash service day is on Tuesday.  Due to the large amounts of debris in Corinth and surrounding areas CWD was unable to service the entire city. CWD will continue collection debris in a phased approach completing Tuesday collection service areas and moving to residents whose trash collection service days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and then Friday.

To view a map of the CWD storm debris cleanup efforts and neighborhoods serviced please visit cityofcorinth.com/debris. We will continue to update the map until the entire City has been serviced.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

DEBRIS: This means large tree limbs, large sections of trees, and/or a large amount of bundled tree limbs.

NO EXTRAS: CWD will not pick up anything other than storm debris, so this is not the time to get rid of your old fridge, couch, etc.

LEAVE IT AT THE CURB: Residents are urged to move debris to the curbside to facilitate assessment and expedite cleanup efforts. If you have large debris, place the debris between the sidewalk and the curb without blocking the sidewalk or roadways, if possible. Limbs do not need to be tied and bundled. Brush and limbs must be cut into manageable lengths of 5-6 feet, with no single limb exceeding 150 pounds.

HIRED HELP: If you hired a tree service to cut up a tree, please have them dispose of the tree for you.

CAN’T WAIT: If you don’t want to wait for this service, you can get a quote for a special pick-up through Community Waste Disposal by calling (972) 392-9300, option 2.
