On Saturday, February 17, 2024, at approximately 2:30am, Officers were dispatched to a major vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in the northbound lanes of 5900 block of IH-35E, Corinth, Texas. Upon arrival Officers found a deceased 20 year old male laying in the roadway. Through eyewitness accounts and the subsequent accident investigation it was determined the male was operating a black 2019 Suzuki GSX in the northbound lanes of IH35E at a high rate of speed. The Suzuki struck the rear of a dark colored passenger car causing the male to be separated from his motorcycle and fall into the lanes of traffic. The male was then hit by another passing vehicle.
The driver of the dark colored passenger car that was struck by the motorcycle kept on driving and did not stop to provide identifying information. With that being said, we are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of the dark colored sedan. There should be moderate damage to the left rear of the car and the left rear taillight/brake light was damaged and is inoperable.
Lewisville Police Department`s Accident Investigation team responded and assisted with the crash investigation.
If you have any additional information regarding this accident please contact the Corinth Police Department at 940-279-1500.
