CORINTH ESTABLISHES YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL
City of Corinth, TX June 30, 2020 - City Officials invite Corinth high school students to attend the Youth Advisory Council Open House on Wednesday, July 22, at 6:00 p.m. at the Corinth City Hall, 3300 Corinth Parkway, Corinth, Texas.
The Open House will provide students, grades 9-12 (public, private & home school) interested in becoming community leaders with information about the Youth Advisory Council and ways to participate in local government.
"The youth in our city are impacted every day by the decisions made in our community," stated Bob Hart City Manager. "This is a great opportunity for our youth to weigh in on city policies. We are looking forward to hearing the recommendations made by the Youth Council."
The Youth Advisory Council will meet once a month throughout the school year. The Youth Council, established to empower Corinth youth, will assist the Council and staff identify the needs of young people, organize youth-based activities that benefit the community, and become active participants in City programs.
