Denton County Is Currently Under A Burn Ban And No Burn Permits Will Be Issued At This Time.

 

Please fill out the Burn Permit completely. Someone from the Fire Department will contact you and set up a time to meet at the location and inspect the burn pile.

This form contains the rules and regulations governing controlled outdoor burning in the Lake Cities area. Persons wishing to conduct outdoor burning in the incorporated boundaries of Corinth, Hickory Creek, Lake Dallas, and Shady Shores, Texas, must comply with the requirements of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This registration is valid from the date issued to the end of the year.

I have been provided with a copy of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's rules on Outdoor Burning and I agree to read and comply with its contents.

I understand that I am responsible for any damage caused as a result of outdoor burning.

I understand that burning any tires, plastics, synthetics, rubber, furniture, treated lumber or any other material(s) that may produce excessive smoke is strictly prohibited.

I understand that any and all outdoor burning will be extinguished for failure to comply with outdoor burning rules and regulations, or if any complaints are registered with the local authorities.

I understand that failure to comply with the rules listed above and those contained in the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's publication is a violation of state and local laws and ordinances and that I may be subject to penalties and/or fines.
