CORINTH, TX, April 11, 2024 - Election time is here once again! Corinth City Hall will be hosting early and election day voting for the 2024 City of Corinth General and Special Election. With election day quickly approaching, this guide is designed to help voters successfully navigate the elections process, from registering to vote to explaining the election ballots for the City of Corinth.

What is on the ballot?

General Election
The Joint General and Special Election shall be held on May 4, 2024, at which time the voters will elect persons to fill Corinth City Council Places No. 1, 3, and 4, with Council Place 1 and Council Place 4 being elected for a term of three (3) years, and Council Place 3 being elected for a term of (1) year, and continuously thereafter, the term of office for Council Place 3 shall be for three (3) years.

Place 3: Steve Holzwarth (Incumbent) | Lindsey Rayl
Place 4: Tina Henderson (Incumbent)
 

Proposition A 
“Authorizing the adoption of a ceiling or limitation on the City Ad valorem tax levy of a person who is sixty-five (65) years of age or older who makes application for and receives a homestead exemption.”

When is early voting?
Visit VoteDenton.gov for a full list of early voting locations, dates, and times. Denton County residents are eligible to vote at any Denton County voting location during early voting. Early voting at Corinth City Hall, 3300 Corinth Parkway, will be held from April 22 - April 30, 2024.

  • Monday, April 22 - Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, April 29 & Tuesday, April 30 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
     

Where can I vote on Election Day?
Election day is Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  On Election Day, residents must vote at their assigned precinct. Corinth has five precincts, 2071, 2072, 2073, 2074, and 3160. Don't know your precinct number? Voter information, including precinct numbers, and a sample ballot can be found at VoteDenton.gov. 
 

How do I know if I'm registered to vote?
Texas does not allow voter registration on the day of the election. Don't know if you're registered? Please check the Texas Secretary of State website. All you'll need to do is enter your full name, birthdate and zip code, and your county.
 

What form of ID do I need to bring to the polls?
Voters must present one of the acceptable forms of photo ID as required by State law. These include the following:

  1. Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  2. Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
  3. Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  4. Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
  5. United States Military Identification Card containing the person's photograph
  6. United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person's photograph
  7. United States Passport

If you cannot present one of the acceptable forms of identification, you may submit a supporting form of ID and complete a "Reasonable Impediment Declaration." For more information on Voter ID requirements, review the requirements provided by the Texas Department of State.
