MAYOR BILL HEIDEMANN APPOINTED TO NCTCOG EXECUTIVE BOARD
CORINTH, TX, June 15, 2021- City of Corinth Mayor Bill Heidemann has been appointed to serve as Secretary-Treasurer of the Executive Board for the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).
The North Central Texas Council of Governments is a voluntary association for local governments to assist in regional planning. NCTCOG's purpose is to strengthen both the individual and collective power of local governments and help them recognize regional opportunities, eliminate unnecessary duplication, and make joint decisions.
The NCTCOG Executive Board comprises 17 locally elected officials, one ex-officio non-voting member of the legislature, and the policy-making body for all activities undertaken by the Council of Governments, including program activities and regional plans, and fiscal and budgetary policies. The Board is supported by technical, study, and policy development committees and a professional staff headed by Mike Eastland, Executive Director.
Bill is a retired business manager and is currently employed by DATCU. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He received a Bachelor of Science degree before attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Columbia University.
Bill was appointed to the position of Mayor in 2015 and has been on the NCTCOG Executive Board since June 2019. Bill has served as a Corinth Economic Development Corporation member and is currently a member of the Denton-Lake Cities Rotary, Lake Cities Focus, and the Lake Cities Education Foundation. He was recently named the Citizen of the Year for 2019 by the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce.
