CORINTH MAYOR BILL HEIDEMANN APPOINTED TO NCTCOG EXECUTIVE BOARD
Corinth, TX, June 18, 2019 - City of Corinth Mayor Bill Heidemann was appointed to serve on the Executive Board of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) on Friday, June 14.
NCTCOG's Executive Board, composed of 17 locally elected officials and one ex-officio non-voting member of the legislature, is the policy-making body for all activities undertaken by the Council of Governments, including program activities and decisions, regional plans, and fiscal and budgetary policies.
"I am honored to join the Executive Board of Directors. NCTCOG is a forward-thinking organization that builds partnerships throughout the region. This is a tremendous opportunity and I look forward to representing the City of Corinth and working with the Board on issues that will benefit our region for generations," said Heidemann.
Heidemann was elected to the position of Mayor in May 2015, and has served as an elected member of the Corinth City Council since 2014.
Mayor Heidemann is a retired business manager and is currently employed by DATCU. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree before attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Columbia University. Mayor Heidemann is focused on serving the City of Corinth by promoting innovation and preserving the quality of life for the residents of Corinth through planned growth and development and continued communication with the community.
