CORINTH CITY HALL REOPENS

Corinth, TX, May 26, 2020- Beginning Tuesday, May 26, Corinth City Hall will open it’s doors to the public, with a modified schedule. This soft reopening coincides with Governor Gregg Abbott’s plans to reopen Texas, while ensuring appropriate safety measures, keeping residents and our employees safe. As part of the statewide effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, City facilities have been closed to the public since March 30.

We are happy to welcome residents back to City Hall.   However, members of our community are encouraged to continue utilizing online services when possible on the City Hall On-Demand website.  For individuals needing in-person assistance,  please keep in mind the following changes to business hours and safety requirements.

Changes At City Hall:

City Hall will be open Monday- Thursday from 7:30 am-5:00 pm, and will be accessible by appointment only on Fridays. For everyone’s safety, residents, or staff who are running a fever, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone who is believed to have contracted COVID-19 will be prohibited from entering City facilities.

Visitors are asked to  comply with the following safety guidelines when in City Hall:

  • Wear a mask or face covering
  • Have their temperature taken by City Staff
  • Maintain six feet of separation
  • Refrain from loitering in the lobby
  • Refrain from visiting staff members
  • Sanitize hands
  • Refrain from bringing groups inside

Parks and Fields:
City playgrounds reopened Monday, May 18. At this time, athletic fields will remain closed until June 15, following the reopening plan set forth by City Management. The multipurpose fields and backstops are open for use by small groups.

Municipal Court:

Municipal Court will reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 26, for in-person assistance.   However, court proceedings will be limited to virtual sessions following the Office of Court Administration procedures. For additional questions about court proceedings, email court@cityofcorinth.com.

 

Utility Billing:

If you choose to refrain from payment in person, water bill payments can be made online at the City of Corinth website, or via phone by dialing 940-498-3200. Additionally, check and money order payments may be placed in the after-hours drop box at City Hall.
